Equal Treatment for all Delta Flight Attendants
The
Association of Flight Attendants-CWA is writing to request that
Delta Air Lines immediately grant the pre-merger Northwest flight
attendants ("PMNWA")the October 1, 2010 pay raises already provided to the pre-merger "non-contract" Delta flight attendants.
As asserted in AFA's election interference charges, Delta deliberately restricted the October 1 pay raise to "non-contract" flight attendants in an undisguised effort to coerce flight attendants to vote against Union representation. Though there was never any contractual prohibition against giving the same raise to the PMNWA, Delta asserted, nonetheless, that it was barred by the AFA collective bargaining agreement from doing so. In any event, and since the election is over and the NWA-AFA contract is no longer in force, that purported reason for denying them a raise is now moot. Full letter (Adobe PDF)
