Delta Management Announces Plans for New Uniforms

Last night, AFA conducted a Town Hall call updating Flight Attendants on the issue of toxic uniforms, the class action case against Land’s End, and an update on AFA’s uniform testing. Today, Delta management announced its plans to rollout a “completely new uniform program for flight attendants and ACS above-wing employees… as soon as possible, hopefully in late 2021.” The full communication from Delta is included at the end of this news update.

Toxic Uniform Lands’ End Class Action Lawsuit

On December 31, 2019, Delta Air Lines Flight Attendants and other employees brought suit against Lands’ End, the manufacturer of the Delta uniforms, in federal court in Wisconsin.

Flight Attendants Call for Responsible Halt to China Flights

The Association of Flight Attendants-CWA, AFL-CIO, representing 50,000 Flight Attendants at 20 airlines, issued this statement following last night’s travel advisory change by U.S. State Department to "do not travel to China" and the declaration by the World Health Organization (WHO) that the coronavirus is a "global health emergency."
