Over the past weekend, representatives from 18 airlines represented by AFA met in Las Vegas for the 49th annual AFA Board of Directors (BOD) Convention.

I’m a Seattle-based Flight Attendant, and I’m about to celebrate my 8-year anniversary at Delta.

Next month, I will celebrate my eighth anniversary with Delta.

Effective March 31, 2022, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) will require the Known Crewmember (KCM) Program eligible crewmembers to scan a KCM-issued barcode card when utilizing a KCM access point. Crewmembers will no longer be permitted to manually enter their KCM data.

Management’s long promised Flight Attendant Pay, Work Rules and Benefits Comparison (“OAL Comparison”) is a selection of cherry-picked Delta favorable items. It ignores contractual guarantees. Management also only compared United and American, leaving out other competitors like Southwest, Alaska, Hawaiian and more.


Remember the “voluntary” pizza party they throw for new hires during training? It’s the one where they make a big deal about welcoming us, and tell us “Delta’s different, and the difference is there’s no union. We’re a family here.”
Ed Bastian knows exactly how and when he’ll get paid. So does the rest of management. They have contracts. We should too. Instead, recent statements from management give us no hope of a raise anytime soon.
