I’ve been a Delta flight attendant for 4 years, and I’m thrilled to be part of organizing our union.

The need is clear. Flight Attendants at Delta shared story after story of outrageous demands by management: people who have been rerouted three times, or calls coming in at 2 and 3 in the morning to move trips up by as much as 12 hours, or Flight Attendants placed in scheduling nightmares after commuter flights are canceled without any support. Other airlines with contracts can’t even contemplate these situations.

Operational meltdowns aren't unique to Delta, but because we don't have a contract, Delta management does have the unique ability to throw our scheduling “rules” out the door for “the needs of the operation."

Last Friday, AFA joined us to launch an official campaign to gain our Flight Attendant Union at Delta. We had an extraordinary rollout and the response across the system and industry was amazing.

Flight Attendants came to the airport on their day off because they wanted to sign a card immediately. We are seeing extraordinary support from people who have never had a union or the chance to vote for one before.

On Tuesday evening, November 5th, AFA-CWA conducted a Town Hall Conference Call to answer questions in real time from Delta Flight Attendants about our efforts to become full members with AFA. Listen to the archived version of the call below and sign up to get involved in the campaign

Nov. 1, 2019 — Today is an exciting day at AFA. Thousands of Flight Attendants at Delta Air Lines have asked AFA to join them in efforts to become full members of our union. As we write this to you now, we are landing in Atlanta to respond in person to their request and affirm our full support of their efforts to join AFA.
