During an unprecedented crisis, it is more important than ever that Flight Attendants have a voice in our workplace.

Back to the Skies, We're Immunized!

Have you gotten your vaccine yet?

Delta management has always kept our hourly pay on par with the pay scales at the unionized airlines, United and American, in an effort to keep us from unionizing. While top line compensation like hourly pay may look the same or even a little better, there are hidden costs and missed compensation for us at Delta.

Today is International Flight Attendant Appreciation Day! Thank you, Aviation’s First Responders, for all that you do and for serving as essential workers throughout this pandemic.

Delta Flight Attendants are receiving our July schedules. So far, management has refused to put in place a minimum monthly guarantee like the United and American contracts. Management instead claim those flying will have a minimum schedule value in the low 70 hours. Does this match your schedule value reality?

What schedule value did you bid for July? How many hours were you actually awarded?

On May 21st, AFA held a Town Hall Conference Call to answer questions in real time from Delta Flight Attendants about our efforts to become full members with AFA as well as issues surrounding COVID-19.

Dear Delta Flight Attendants,

Flight Attendants and the entire aviation industry have some short term financial stability now with the CARES Act and money going to our airlines for frontline worker payroll. We are working to make sure that money is delivered to us as intended. Our airline, industry, and country are still combatting the COVID-19 pandemic and preparing for the safety and health changes necessary to stop spread of the virus in aviation and give the public confidence in returning to the air.

U.S. airlines across the industry received $25 billion in federal grants to keep Flight Attendants and other frontline aviation workers on the payroll through September 30th. Our collective action helped Delta management secure $5 billion alone to pay Delta Flight Attendants, pilots, gate agents, and more Delta workers.

From the early days of “Sky Girls” and stewardesses, the Flight Attendants of AFA have carved out a career as safety professionals, becoming the “go to” organization for information about Flight Attendants.
