This month I’ll be celebrating my seventh anniversary as a Delta Flight Attendant.

You’ve likely heard about the potential of disruptions to air travel in late December as AT&T and Verizon were cleared by FCC to turn on their 5G spectrum networks on January 5th.

Health and safety in the workplace is often the driving issue for organizing union representation. That's because no paycheck matters if you don't have your life or your health.

AFA sat down with The Jet Set to talk about a series of “questions” (and their wrong answers) that Delta Air Lines pushed out to Flight Attendants this week, intended to scare Flight Attendants from wanting to gain AFA representation.
Save the Date for Upcoming AFA Town Hall Calls: January 2, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. ET, and January 28, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. ET. The calls will be approximately 30 minutes. Look for an RSVP in our next communication.
We are stronger by working in partnership with the 700,000 members of the Communications Workers of America including workers in telecom, journalism, airline customer service and ramp, broadcasting, manufacturing, public service and much more.
The issue “affects different people in different ways and the reactions can vary in severity with symptoms such as rashes, headaches, hair loss and breathing problems when wearing the uniform,” according to the union.
Happy Thanksgiving! Flight Attendants play an integral role in bringing families and friends together. Many of us sacrifice our own holiday to ensure the safety and comfort of millions of travelers. We are in a unique position to influence the tone of our nation - and that starts in the way we take care of each other.

For over a year and a half Flight Attendants at Delta have been experiencing the effects of toxic uniforms. This is a relatively new issue in our industry, but AFA has taken this issue on and defined it through the work of our industrial hygienist, Judith Anderson.

For a review of this issue and how AFA has tackled it at other airlines, watch this video:
